I'm thrilled to be participating again in ON COLORING III, a project developed by Catherine Haley Epstein with proceeds benefiting Creative Science School in PDX.

I'll have two pieces this round both inspired by feminist artists. The new piece is my translation the coloring book page on Kiki Smith's piece "Tale." Can't wait for you to see it! The other one is a reprint of the piece that sold last exhibiton, based on Niki de Saint Phalle's monumentual Nana scupture, "Hon-en-Katedrall" (which means "she-a cathedral").

I was invited to color a page with Niki de Saint Phalle's monumentual Nana scupture, "Hon-en-Katedrall" (which means "she-a cathedral").

2016 marks 50 years since the building and destruction of Niki de Saint Phalle’s “Hon” sculpture. “Hon” a goddess, mother, whore, an embodiment of life and death was a temporary monumental female figure stretching 90 feet. “She” left a lasting impression on the tens of thousands of people who entered her body in Stockholm, 1966. Viewers discovered a planetarium, a milk bar and they will remember the imprint her brightly colored exterior left. “Hon” is gone, but “She” remains in our psyche.
